Welcome to the introduction to my 2020 Project Pan. This means I’ll be taking a palette and using it up. The aim is to try and use it all in this year but of course, can rollover.

Welcome to the introduction to my Rolling Project. It’s the same rules as last time. I take a palette, use it until I hit pan on one of the shades and then pick another (well the one you pick). It’s that simple. It means I can move slightly quicker through my collection and reduces boredom.

With Christmas around the corner, it’s time to look to the next year and starting up my new project pans. I’ve decided to do a few, this one is the 5 by 5 project pan.
The basic rules of this Project pan are to pick 5 polishes and use them for 5 months. I’ve added a few rules of my own to help me use my collection.
I’m going to pick, one holographic polish, one cream polish, one topper, one metallic and one free choice.
I also want to choose in a theme so all the polishes work together in some form. It’ll help me use them up.
It’s coming to the end of the year. I’m going to stop doing these collection posts on here and add them to my Youtube videos. Yes, I’ll be back. So without further ado let’s look at the numbers for this month.

I’ve been trying to view my collection differently recently. There was a post on Reddit in MakeupRehab (which I can’t find) which talked about viewing makeup, not as a collection but rather something to use. So I want to switch my language from collection to inventory. However, because we are so close to the end of the year I might not do it yet for the title of these posts but I will try to do it in the rest of the posts.

I’m working on the back end of things right now, but there has been some movement. So far I’ve managed to restrain myself from buying all the new eyeshadow pretties from Lime Crime but I know that won’t last long. How are you doing with resisting your favourite brand?

I’ve been away from my blog from a while you might have noticed. I finally managed to update my numbers. Now there are a few big changes mostly because I’ve done my destash to a ‘later’ box. So they’re not totally gone but not currently part of my collection.
So let’s see my collection totals!

I’ve been fighting Fomo this month, so let’s see how I did.

As part of my use whatever I want thing, I’ve pulled a few bit and pieces back into my collection because I missed them. So that means in virtually every single section you’re going to see a rise in the value. How can I do this? When I destash an item I actually put it in a ‘lost and found’ box. If I don’t want it 12 months later it can go. If I end up missing it, it gets kept. It’s a habit I learned after impulsively destashing a few items and still to this day missing them.
