Today we’re looking at three of the glosses from Lime Crime, Flaming Cherry, Sour Cherry and Maraschino Cherry.
The bottle is short and stubby which is giving me retro vibes but I can’t think what from. The design is simple but again it feels a little off. There’s something about the new designs that just don’t feel finished.
It has a very nice does foot applicator that gets enough product out with one dip. It’s incredibly shiny.
It smells of sweet cherries and while you can smell it when it’s first applied it does start to fade. It is not sticky on the lips, which I adore as I hate sticky glosses so much.
So let’s look at the swatches
Flaming Cherry
Flaming Cherry is described as bright peach and that’s quite true. It’s a lot sheerer than the Lime Crime Swatch but this one does actually have quite a strong colour on the lips.
Cherry Slime
Cherry Slime is described as lime iridescent. This one is disappointing compared to the swatches. There’s barely any glitter in it and the slightly lime green of the gloss is disappears on the lips. The glitter also has a habit of sinking to the bottom of the tube, so it needs stirring before use.
Maraschino Cherry
Maraschino cherry is described as cherry red and this one is very true to colour. I’m actually pleased with the coverage of this one. It’s nice and red without anything underneath.
Now I like the formula of these and Cherry Slime isn’t unwearable but it’s not great. The other two though, I’d recommend them.
