MakeUp Academy Mega Volume Mascara Review

MakeUp Academy Mega Volume Mascara Review

Mega Volume Mascara by Makeup Academy sounds like a bargain. It’s £3 from the MUA website for from your closest Superdrug store.

The product itself is not bad. It goes on smoothly and separates your lashes. A couple of coats does make your lashes stand out.

However, it does not give you mega volume, as you can see from the above picture. So not so great.

Now for the thing that makes it even worse.

It’s less than half full. Having emailed customer service I was treated like an idiot, then told it was supposed to be this way. I was told it gives the ‘product room to move’. Now I knew straight away this wasn’t going to be good for the mascara and I was right.

In less than two weeks of having it, it started getting dry and clumpy. I do not pump my mascara. Just the sheer amount of air in the tube started to dry it out. Now, it’s pretty much useless.

So would I recommend this. Not at all. It doesn’t give you mega volume. In fact it gave me no volume at all. Then it dried up in less than two weeks. All in all this is a dreadful mascara. Avoid it.

It’s a nice royal blue crackle polish. The royal blue colour of the polish is distorted by the base colour you use on your nail. If you want it to be that kind of blue you do need to use it on a white base. It works well with contrasting colours though and is a nice change from the usual black crackle.

It’s also on the cheap side of polish costing only £2.99 from the website or from Superdrug.

Faulty MakeUp Academy Glitter Liners

Faulty MakeUp Academy Glitter Liners

Now I love Make Up Academy (MUA) as a brand. I first bought a glitter liner from them about 4 months ago. They arrived not very full and when I used them they were a bit lumpy. So I didn’t think the product was very good but they cost a £1 each. I’ve just placed an order and gotten the non faulty ones…. When they’re not dried up, they’re really good. The pink on has been used once for swatches and look at it. Not impressed.
