The Venus Immortalis palette is the final one in the Venus series from Lime Crime. It costs $38 from Lime Crime. It has 8 x 1.61g of product and a 12-month shelf life once opened. It’s vegan and cruelty-free. In the UK you can get it from LookFantastic for £35.
Long live Venus through Immortalis, a beautiful afterlife. To be immortal is to divinely thrive without end although her reign has ended, she will live on forever as Immortalis. She’s more than smoke and mirrors – it’s truly a sin to be this daringly deep in shadows. Immortalis will have you reaching for blacks and whites, as classics never die. A timeless 8 pan palette of cool tone smoky shades with elements of rich foil and shimmers to step into the dark side.
Her reign may be ending, but her legacy will live on forever through the shades of depth and shadow.
The packaging is as always cardboard but this time the outside is black and white. The venus image itself also glows in the dark. It’s pretty cool.
The inside has a mirror but as it’s cardboard it does not stay open. Inside the shadows are surrounded by an off cream which also glows in the dark.
I almost didn’t get this one, it’s not very exciting. My previous Goth self would have loved this, however, the more colourful version of me doesn’t. Not that it’s a bad palette it’s just monochrome which is not a look I’ve been into recently.
So let’s get to the swatches.

The descriptions of some of these shades do not match the swatches. Of course, undertones will come into play but Moth is not grey. Even in the pan, it’s more of a beige colour and the pink shimmer is not very noticeable. Marble is so sheer it barely shows on my skin, however, if you’re of deeper skin tone this one might be really nice. Unveil is called a matte black-brown? It’s a really deep berry shade and it’s GORGEOUS.
The inclusion of Unveil was such a good idea. It’s gone from a simple monochrome palette to something that has very unique colouring. It’s not endlessly versatile but a little creativity you can get a few very different looks out off this.
The formula is the usual Lime Crime standard. Soft and pigmented. There’s kick back in the pan but not fallout that I’ve seen. Echo and Hall go on more like glitter shades if used dry. If you really want to vamp up the foil use them wet. Cameo has pigment, it’s just so close to my pale cool skin you can barely see it. Marble, on the other hand, is so sheer, it’s almost not there. If you want this to pop like I’ve seen on a lot of looks you will 100% need a white base.
They’re good shadows. They just don’t excite me at all.
