When Revolution announced they’d be making mascara I was excited. You might be aware I am not a fan of high street mascara. I’ve yet to find one I like but I had high hopes for this one. A cruelty-free and vegan mascara at a fair price. Yes, please. Sign me up right now.

The hourglass shaped brush hugs the lash to create a natural curl while the highly pigmented formula adds amazing volume and length that won’t flake or smudge. The rich consistency dries down to leave you with fanned out, defined lashes. No gimmicks, no outlandish claims, no crazy ingredients. Just real results. A great mascara for an excellent price that will become the new staple in your makeup bag. Don’t just take our word for it, see for yourself…

So was I impressed? The answer is yes.

My lashes are fairly sparse and medium length. I need volume and I like extra length because I tend to wear cats eyes eyeliner. They’re also very pale naturally as you can see from the picture above.

Revolution-The-Mascara-Revolution-BrushI was impressed when I first used it and I still like it to this day. The wand is hourglassed shaped and I find it’s really good for not getting mascara on my lids, which is something I’m very good at doing.
it distributes the mascara nice and evenly and is also buildable over a couple of coats. The picture above is of one coat.
Now it might have a 12-month life once opened but I rarely find a tube lasts me that long, so there’s no need to worry about the expiry date. I don’t have an issue with flaking when it’s first opened but do as it gets older. So if you’re finding that happening it’s time to replace it.
There’s now a waterproof version which I’ll have to try out. The only reason I haven’t is that I don’t have smudging issues with this even when my eyes decide today is a wet day.

If you’d like one you can yours at Revolution Beauty or Superdrug for £8.
