Lime Crime Mermaids Hilite – Review & Swatches

The Unicorns Hi-lite Palette from Lime Crime costs $38 or £35 from UK Suppliers. It has 21g of product and 24-month shelf life. It is vegan and cruelty-free.

Glisten like a mermaid under the moonlight with this high-shine, high-sparkle, cruelty-free and vegan makeup palette inspired by all things under the sea.  Your skin will glow like the mermaid when you wear this moonlit iridescent highlighter.

The Mermaids Hi-lite palette is a set of three highlighters.

  • Seashell (cool purple)
  • Pearl (pearl white)
  • Mermaid (sea blue)

They’re incredibly soft and very easy to break with a small amount of impact. However, that does mean that they are very easy to get on a brush and then onto your skin.

Seashell is purple with blue glitter and it’s very glittery. They do tend to stick but you do need to use it wet to prevent fall out.

Pearl doesn’t have glitter and is really a proper pearl shade on the skin. It looks kind of orange in the pan but it’s not.

Mermaid look blue in the pan but on the skin, it’s more sea blue with green and blue glitter. The glitter from this one isn’t as intense and I’ve not had any fallout.

The highlighters are very glittery but except for Seashell, it’s not visible on the skin. It’ll stay as long as your base does and of course be made brighter by using a damp brush.

I’m a fan of these highlighters. If you’d like to get your hands on one of these palettes, they’re available from Lime Crime for $38 or £35 from UK suppliers for.
