The Carmi Make Magic Palette is the newest collab with Revolution Beauty. It costs £5 and has a 12-month shelf life once opened. It is not vegan as it contains beeswax and carmine but is cruelty-free.

The outside of this box is a magical teal colour, which for all my trying meant my camera could just not focus on it. It’s simply a very pretty lid though and will make it easy to find. It has the usual massive mirror on the inside, which while I never use them I like having them there.
All the shades are embossed with Carmi’s heart symbol. They’re arranged with the duochromes at the top and the matte/shimmers at the bottom. This looks like a more universal palette. It’s not a one and done for me as there’s not a very light shade in there. However, there’s such a lovely range and depth of shades I really love how it looks.
The top row is really where the magic is.

The middle row is a mix of nice bold colours
- Flames – a super strong and deep matte orange
- Confidence – a soft matte beige shade
- Desire – a fushia pink shimmer
- Self Made – a sea green shimmer
- Bless – a matte pink, that goes slightly lilac on me
- U Do U – a deep matte warm brown
- Darkside – a matte black
The bottom row is full of lighter shades
- Overcome – a matte terracotta shade
- Integrity – a moss-green shimmer
- Love yourself – a coral shimmer
- Free Hugs – a dusty rose matte that pulls slightly grey on me
- Honesty – a light cool gold shimmer
- Addicted – a matte mustard
- Camo – a matte khaki green
Honestly, most of these have brilliant pigmentation and are really easy to blend. I think the formula of this palette is definitely one of the best ones from Revolution.
Now the row does work well with a brush but packs a much bigger punch with your fingers. They also foil so well.
My only grumble, with this palette, is really that Desire and Bite Me are so similar that one would have been better replaced with another colour. However, it’s a small thing and doesn’t ruin how lovely the spread of colours is.
I recommend this a lot. It’s definitely one to play with and layer for some imaginative looks.
