PLUSHIES (from plushy: a soft toy) are the new generation of nude lips. Non-opaque, soft focus formula enhances natural lip color while making your lips look as plush as a teddy bear!
Plushies are the sheer sister to Velvetines. They come in pink plastic packaging, which has all the information on. There is a pink label on the bottom but it is very light pink and the writing is white, which makes it nearly impossible to read. I’d recommend keeping the box for this one.
They’ve also got a really cute teddy bear on the lid.
They’ve also got a small doe foot applicator that grabs enough product to cover the lips in one go. It’s a nice size that means you can get a nice clean edge.
They dry down in a minute or two to a matte finish and depending on how much you use they can have quite a solid colour or sheer finish. I find these a little more drying than the Velvetines formula but like the Velvetines I find them smudge-proof. I actually find the darker shades stay put in a way the Velvetines don’t.
So I got three of the colours. Jam, Passionfruit and Sorbet.
Dragon Fruit is described as a bright magenta. It pretty much is as described. This one goes on nice and smoothly.
Jam is described as a deep red. As Plushies are sheer this one does come off less red and more deep red/pink.
Sorbet is described as a fire red. It’s more orange than red on my lips. It looks patchy here but I never notice it in real life.
As I said before I personally find these more drying than the Velvetines formula, so will always choose them first. However, I do like these. They’re long-lasting and don’t budge.
