A little while ago Lime Crime released a set of lip glosses called wet cherry. I’m not a huge fan of glosses myself and thought I’d pass until they were discounted. So when that happened I decided to pick the bright pink one. Sour Cherry.
It smells of Sweet Cherries and while you can smell it when it’s first applied it does start to fade. It is not sticky on the lips, which I adore as I hate sticky glosses so much. The bottle is short and stubby which is giving me retro vibes but I can’t think what from. It has a very nice does foot applicator that gets enough product out with one dip. It’s incredibly shiny.
I really like the colour and texture of this gloss. I mean look at this swatch…
Okay, so I am pulling a fast one here. This is not a swatch of the gloss on its own, I had to use one of the new Velvetines lip liners (Plastic) to get this coverage. Even so, it’s not quite the same as the website but close enough for me.
Without a liner, it looks like this.
I mean it’s still a pretty gloss. but it’s not what I was expecting. I’m probably going to pass on the other colours, especially at full price due to the sheerness of the product. It’s not a bad product, it’s just sheer. Not what is advertised on the site at all.
