The Plushies Quads are a set of complementary colours in a pretty yellow palette. They cost £20 from UK suppliers or $22 from Lime Crime direct. They have 4 x 1.67g of product each and have a 12-month shelf life once opened. They are Vegan and cruelty-free.

I find these quads are a good demonstration why things that might swatch badly doesn’t mean they perform badly on the eye. Even the swatches on the Lime Crime website are a little on the patchy side. They don’t do this on the eye at all. they’re soft and blendable with lovely pigment. They’re not so bold and in your face, as we’ve been used to, they are sheer but the colour is there. So let’s a take a closer look at them.
Sweet Blends
Sweet Blends is the cooler toned of the two palettes, featuring a pop of blue and pink.
All four colours play well in this palette. Rosebud is a soft rose pink, which on me turns a slightly hotter shade of pink. Chocolate Milk is as the name suggests a milk chocolate brown. Melon Smoothie is a peachy nude. It’s a muted colour this one but very pretty. Blueberry is a dirty blue and despite the patchy swatches, I’ve seen blends lovely on my skin. It deepens on my skin tone.
All in all, this is a nice cool set of shadows that blend together really well. It’s important to note that under the ingredients listed on Lime Crime, Blueberry, Chocolate Milk and Rosebud as marked as face colours.

Fresh Squeezed
Fresh Squeezed is the warmer of the two, featuring a strong orange and a pop of bright pink. This one while still sheer is definitely stronger in colour.
Jackfruit is a mellow yellow, definitely a milky kind of yellow but it doesn’t have any coverage issue despite being sheer. Orange Juice is a bright orange colour, think the skin rather than the juice. It’s very bold. Mango is muted orange. it’s a bit darker than the colour I think of for mango (the flesh). Lastly, we have Dragon Fruit, it’s a bright magenta colour. I love this hot pink, despite being slightly cooler it still works so well with the other colours.
It’s important to note at this point that Dragon Fruit and Orange Juice are listed as face colours.

There’s a little kickback in the pan from these but it’s not excessive. I’ve not had any fall out from these which I love. The packaging on these is super cute. I’m not so fond of the plastic boxes they come in but the fact they’re cardboard is always a plus for me as that makes them more environmentally friendly.
