Revolution x Carmi Kiss of Fire Palette Review, Swatch & Giveaway

Revolution x Carmi Kiss of Fire Palette Review, Swatch & Giveaway

Meet the Kiss of Fire palette from Revolution Beauty. This palette is a collaboration with CarmiMUA who is on their team of bloggers. It costs £10 and is available on the Revolution Website and at Superdrug.

It’s a collection of 10 eyeshadows and two highlighters, hand picked, developed and named by Carmi himself.

On the top row, there are two highlighters. Flash me is a greener version of Flash by revolution. It’s just as pretty and much greener. Opulence is a gold highlighter is a darker highlight good for medium to dark skin tones. Definitely not for me but good as a shimmer shade for the lid.

On the far left, there are four matte shades. They’re all highly pigmented and blend like a dream. Yellow heart is so pigmented and doesn’t disappear on the lid.

In the middle are two shimmer shades in more neutral colours. For medium, to dark skin tones, these would both work as eye highlight shades.

The last four are a set of highly pigmented bright shimmer shades. I honestly could not be happier with how these blend and work together. #URWelcome also has a blue shift that I couldn’t pick up too well on camera.

There are tonnes of looks that can be done with the palette and it’s so different to all the new releases that are on the market at the moment. I can’t really fault this palette. There might not be any matte neutral shades but you really don’t need them with these and if you do I bet you’ve got 100 at home already.

In short I love this palette. Get it!

I have one new, sealed and unused palette to giveaway. Since WordPress won’t let me put the widget on my site please go to the link below and follow the steps to be in with a chance of winning this palette. UK only sorry.

Mermaids vs Dragons vs Unicorns Heart – Part 2 Highlighters Review and Swatches

Mermaids vs Dragons vs Unicorns Heart – Part 2 Highlighters Review and Swatches

So we’ve got the magical lips, now we need a highlight to go along with it. Fortunately, I Heart Revolution has got you covered. Stay tuned to the end of the post for a giveaway.

I-Heart-Revolution-Dragon-Mermaid-Unicorn-Heart-Highlighter

There are three different highlighters in different shades for each of the mystical creatures. All cost £5 each and are available from RevolutionBeauty or Superdrug.  They’re all packed in cardboard hearts with a gradient of colours that mix to make a unique highlighter shade. They’re also all Vegan.

Dragon

The Dragon highlighter is a collection of red and golden highlighter shades that combine into a beautiful golden highlight. This is way too dark for my skin but is perfect for deeper skin tones.

Mermaid

The Mermaid highlighter is a collection of green and purple shades that combine into a pretty peach highlighter. Again just a touch too dark for me but great for light to medium skin tones.

Unicorn

The Unicorn highlighter is a pastel rainbow of shades with a white base that combines to an ethereal blue highlight. This one is perfect for fair to light skin tones.

I-Heart-Revolution-Mermaid-Unicorn-Dragon-Heart-SwatchI like these highlighters, especially the Unicorn one. They’re pretty and quite unique. I find the sheen on them doesn’t really emphasise my skin texture either. You can, of course, make the tone of them slightly different depending on where you place the brush into the highlighter. The choice is yours, there are so many variations.

So onto the UK only giveaway. I am giving away the Mermaid and Dragon highlighters used in this post as they’re both too dark for me. Please complete the steps included in the Rafflecopter widget and make sure you leave me a comment stating which one you’d like. Open to UK residents only, two winners will be chosen at random. failure to comment which one you’d like or reply with both/either will void your entry. Please click the link below to enter.
