Contour and Highlight Kit Review

On the heels of the announcement of the new brushes I thought I’d do a review of the contour and highlight kit from Makeup Revolution. I got this at Christmas and while it’s no longer available all of the pieces are.

The Ultra Bronzer is huge! It’s the full-size version and is a lovely soft brown shade. It’s easily blendable and buildable. Good for almost all skin tones. It costs £3 from their website or Superdrug.

Next is a contour kit. It includes a blusher, bronzer and a highlighter. From an examination of the website, this does appear to be the fair version, which is good for me. It’s nice and pigmented like the bronzer and works perfectly. It costs £3.50 from their website or from Superdrug.

The brushes weren’t available at Christmas. These three are super soft. Included where a powder brush, contour brush and stippling brush. They range in price from £3.75 to £3.00.
The stippling brush despite the two tones is not duo fibre but never the less it does the job well. You can’t really complain for £3 as it is a really good brush.
The contour brush is nicely angled and really soft. It picks up colour well and gives a smooth application.
The powder brush is the softest powder brush I’ve ever felt. This thing is like silk. OMG, it’s so soft. It’s like applying powder with a feather. I adore this brush.
Now I am not sure that they’re the same as those that have just been released but I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be. I will be confirming this when I make an order for them at the end of the month.

All in all, this was a fabulous kit and each item is well worth it.
