Maybelline 24 Hour Superstay Lip Colour in Glowing Garnet, Fire Coral & Always Crimson Review & Swatch

Meet the original long stay liquid lipsticks. That’s the Superstay 24 hour wear lip colour. I have three of them. One of which is described as matte but given the top coat, it’s not really. They cost £8.99 each and you can get them from Boots or your local retailer.

All of them are slightly sheer, which is a bit of a shame but does look like a solid colour from the normal distance. They apply sticky and you have to use the balm to stop your lips sticking together. They are incredibly long-lasting. The balm comes off but the colour barely shifts. You can buy replacement balms should you run out or lose it. It’s a bit of a nightmare to remove but that means it doesn’t shift.

The first is Glowing Garnet 290. It’s a deep blue-based pink, with microfine blue glitter. The blue glitter does tend to get lost on the lips but it’s a very pretty colour.

The second is Fire Coral 815. It’s a bright orange with no coral undertones. This one is the sheerest and the most bright of the three.

The last of the three is Always Crimson 575. It’s a deep red-brown and the hardest to get a smooth colour with. It lasts for ages though and is a really nice colour.

Personally, I love these lipsticks. I wish Maybelline was cruelty-free because I’d repurchase these in a heartbeat but sadly they’re not. If you’d like them they cost £8.99 from your local retailer.
